In March 2011 we tacked on a couple of days prior to a meeting at the Tuscon AZ's JW Marriott Starr Pass Golf Resort. The golf course was a true desert course where only Tees, Fairways and Greens that had grass. There are three 9-hole courses. We played the Rattler and Cyote, there is also the Roadrunner course, all designed by legendary Arnold Palmer. Dramatic mountain views surround all the courses. Elevations, greenest greens you wonder how exist in the desert, wildlife and plenty of cacti. Both courses were challenging but definitely fun - and a great opportunity to sharpen your skills. Plan for several rounds - so you can get a second chance at Hole 5 on Rattler! Great Tee signs with five options for T-ing off, forward friendly.
