Travel Tips & Itineraries

Packing:

  • Check out Genius Pack for luggage options

  • Slip a few Dryer Sheets in your luggage (keeps it fresh!) and then you can use if you need to do laundry!

  • Stuff your shoes with socks and other small items

  • Fill a thin layer of clothes on bottom of luggage.  Then...

  • Lay pants flat and then place folded clothes a bit more than 1/2 way down and fold pant legs over folded clothes.  This leaves some space to place toiletries and other small items.  Also pack in order of expected wearing of clothes (especially if you are traveling to several places with different weather.)

  • Zip Lock Bags, Disposable Gloves - both come in handy!

In the Air Wellness:

  • Drink a lot of water

  • Get up every 60-90 minutes and walk the plane

  • Stand and Stretch

  • Sit and Stretch

Time Zone Adjustments:

  • If traveling the world, many flights from the US are in the evening.  Eat light, enjoy reading a book or watching a movie and try and get 4-6 hours of sleep.  Once there, plan to stay up as late as possible and "mentally" adjust your mind to the new timezone.  Do not think "oh it's really... time"!  Just go with the new timezone as best you can.
