GAYLORD OPRYLAND SPRINGS GOLF COURSE, Nashville TN April 2013

Updated: Aug 30, 2019

A new hotel to Marriott, The Gaylord Opryland also owns the Gaylord Springs Golf Links. During a visit to the hotel we played a round of golf with a Gaylord alumni Chip Rowe and had the chance to meet the Golf Course Head Pro Harry Taylor and the GM, James Paschal and welcomed them to the Marriott family!

We did play very early in the season so the greens were not so green but it was great to get a look at the course and we enjoyed our round best we could tip-toeing through the raindrops. The course is carved from the banks of the Cumberland River, and is a Scottish links-style, par-72 layout offering 18 challenging holes bordered by limestone bluffs. This golf course was named one of the Tennessee’s Top Public Courses by GolfWeek Magazine. The 43,000-square-foot, antebellum-style clubhouse is beautiful with a spectacular view of the golf course and perfect for the many weddings it hosts each year.

Of course while in Nashville TN you MUST make a visit to the Grand Ole Opry and take the backstage tour - it was fantastic - whether you are a country music enthusiast or not!
