Part of the spectacular JW Marriott Marco Island, the Hammock Bay Golf Course joins the Rookery Golf Course. Thanks to Liz's team meeting’s spectacular location – we were able to golf another Marriott Golf resort!
Located about 10 minutes from the hotel, Hammock Bay Golf course is an equally spectacular addition to the hotel. The course went through a major renovation and you can certainly tell - spectacular!
The first few hole’s shrubbery that lined the fairway were rain-forest-esc and much of the course had a non-Floridian feel. Definitely a change of pace from the Rookery, while there is water on both, the water is less in play on Hammock and if not all, most of the approaches were trouble free!
The greens were perfect. They were fast, smooth, dry and the ball had true roll. But watch out for the alligators that apparently enjoy sun-bathing on the edges of the greens.
The course was very forward friendly which helped Liz’s round of 100 … so close to double-digits!
Congratulations on a beautifully designed and manicured course - it's a round not to miss if you are in the area. And a great reason to visit Marco Island.
